My Approach to Therapy

Compassionate, collaborative, and tailored to you.

Therapy with me is a conversation, a collaboration, and a safe space to explore the parts of your life that feel heavy or confusing. My approach is grounded in compassion and curiosity—I believe healing happens when we feel safe, seen, and supported.

How I Show Up for You

I see therapy as a space to explore—not a place to “fix.” We’ll sit together in the messiness of being human, untangling what’s no longer serving you while building new ways of thinking, feeling, and relating.

My style is

Affirming and Warm

I meet you with compassion and without judgement.

Collaborative

You’re the expert on your own life; I’m here to guide and support.

Flexible & Creative

Tailor sessions to your needs, whether that means deep reflection, practical tools, or even space for humor when it helps lighten the work.

What Guides My Work

While every client is unique, I often draw from evidence-based approaches such as:

Trauma-Informed Care

Trauma can shape the way we see ourselves, our relationships, and the world. A trauma-informed approach means I move at your pace, prioritize safety and trust, and honor the coping strategies that have helped you survive. Together, we’ll gently create space to heal old wounds without rushing or re-traumatizing.

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)

Our thoughts, feelings, and behaviors are all connected. When unhelpful thought patterns take over, they can fuel anxiety, depression, or self-doubt. With CBT, I’ll help you identify and challenge those patterns, experiment with new ways of thinking, and practice tools that support your day-to-day wellbeing.

Attachment & Relational Work

The relationships we grow up with often shape how we connect, communicate, and feel about ourselves today. Using an attachment lens, I help you notice patterns in your relationships—past and present—and explore ways to create healthier, more secure connections with yourself and others.

Mindfulness & Somatic Practices

Sometimes our bodies hold on to stress and emotions long after our minds move on. Mindfulness and somatic practices (like breathwork, grounding, or body awareness) can help you reconnect with the present moment, tune into what your body is telling you, and find calm and balance when life feels overwhelming.

 Bringing It All Together

You don’t need to know these approaches or come in with a plan—that’s my job. I’ll guide you through the process, weaving together different tools and perspectives in a way that feels supportive and meaningful to you. My goal is always to meet you where you are and help you move toward where you want to be.
