Taking the First Step
Reaching out for therapy can feel like a big leap, and you don’t have to have everything figured out before you start. The first step is simple: schedule a free 20-minute consultation call.
This call is your chance to connect, ask questions, and get a feel for what it might be like to work together. My goal is to help you feel comfortable and supported as you take this next step for yourself.
What We’ll Discuss in the Consultation Call
Our phone chat is simply a chance to connect. We’ll talk about:
What’s been weighing on you.
What you hope feels different in your day-to-day life.
How I can best support you.
This call helps you get a feel for my approach and whether we’re a good fit. If so, we’ll book your first session.
What to Expect in the First Sessions
Your first session is about slowing down and building a safe foundation together. Here’s what we’ll do:
Settle In: A brief check-in to help you feel comfortable.
Clarity & Consent: I’ll explain the structure of therapy, including confidentiality, your rights as a client, and how payment works. You’ll always know what to expect.
Your Story: Space to share what’s been on your mind, at your own pace.
Your Goals: We’ll begin exploring what you’d like to heal, change, or grow toward.
Clients often say the first session feels like a weight lifted — just having space to talk, be heard, and know you’re not alone.

Therapy with me takes place online through a private, secure video platform—easy to use on your phone, tablet, or computer. You’ll get a link before each session and simply click to join.
Many clients log in from a quiet room at home, while others find privacy in their car or office during a busy day. Wherever you are, therapy should feel accessible and comfortable.
To make the most of your sessions:
Choose a private spot where you can relax.
Use headphones if you want extra privacy.
Bring along anything that helps you feel grounded (a journal, water, or even a cozy blanket).
Sessions are 50 minutes and usually weekly or bi-weekly, depending on your goals. Online therapy makes it possible to fit support into your life—even on the busiest days—while creating a space that feels just as personal and supportive as meeting in person

Therapy is an investment in yourself—your growth, your relationships, and your future. Choosing to prioritize your mental health takes time, energy, and financial commitment, but it’s also one of the most meaningful decisions you can make.
Individual Therapy (50 minutes): $175
Couples & Family Therapy (50 minutes): $200
My rates reflect the care and preparation I put into each session. Outside of our time together, I spend additional hours tailoring resources, planning interventions, and staying up to date with the latest research to ensure you receive thoughtful, personalized support.

At this time, I am private pay only and do not accept insurance directly. However, many clients are able to get partial reimbursement through their insurance if they have PPO plans that cover out-of-network providers.
Here’s how it works:
After you pay for your session, I can provide you with a superbill—an itemized receipt with the necessary codes and details.
You submit the superbill to your insurance company.
Depending on your plan, your insurance may reimburse you directly for a portion of the session fee.
I encourage you to call your insurance provider before starting therapy to ask:
Do you cover out-of-network therapy services?
What percentage of the session fee is reimbursed?
Is there a deductible I must meet first?
How do I submit a superbill for reimbursement?

Under the No Surprises Act, you have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate of the expected costs of your therapy. This document outlines my session rates, how often we might meet, and an estimate of your yearly investment in therapy.
While the exact number of sessions varies for each client, the Good Faith Estimate ensures you are informed about the potential financial commitment. I will provide this document before your first session and am always happy to revisit it as your needs evolve.

I deeply value your time and mine. To honor both, I ask that you provide at least 24 hours’ notice if you need to cancel or reschedule a session.
Each client receives one “life happens” exception for a late cancellation or no-show without a charge.
After that, sessions canceled or missed with less than 24 hours’ notice will be charged the full fee.
This policy helps me maintain consistent availability for all of my clients while respecting my own needs for balance and sustainability.
